There are three steps we focus on when survivors enter the Employment Readiness Program.
This first piece is to computerized learning modules based around the Survivor’s experience in the workforce. Experience ranges from “no experience” to “has held a job”.
This second piece is to teach how to write a cover letter and resume, and tips on what to expect in an interview.
The last piece is an internship at our Hope and Healing store.
At our Hope & Healing Store, we’ve created opportunities where these women can learn skills to become independent and self-sufficient for future employment.
As a shelter for hope and healing, Terebinth Refuge has a holistic approach that provides safe housing, longer-term transitional housing, and a variety of on-site services to help women attain their individual goals toward recovery and independence. This approach helps women who are struggling, to stay out of this lifestyle permanently.
